The client, UWUA, AFL-CIO Local 132, had been a long time tenant in an old building in Whittier, CA. Their building was lacking in improvements, technology and parking while charging an extreme amount of rent for the office and parking.
Either the client could purchase a building or relocate to an office building that would accommodate all their wants and needs. It was decided to relocate.
We negotiated a five year, turn-key lease with options that provided the client with nine (9) window offices, CAT 5e cabling, 26 foot conference room, break room, reception area and a large bullpen area for their ongoing training classes or shop stewards. The parking area is large, open and free. The client is extremely pleased with us, especially noting that their base rent has decreased by approximately $3,000 a month.
